Welcome to Groundery. Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the Groundery platform, website, and services (collectively, the "Service").
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not access the Service.
Groundery is an AI-powered fact-checking platform that analyzes audio and video content to detect claims and verify them against authoritative sources.
AI disclaimer: Groundery uses AI and outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading (including “hallucinations”); we do not guarantee accuracy or completeness. The Service is for informational purposes only and is not professional advice, and you are responsible for verifying outputs before publishing, sharing, or relying on them.
To use certain features of the Service, you must register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process.
You retain all ownership rights to the audio, video, and other content you upload to the Service ("User Content").
By uploading User Content, you grant Groundery a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to access, use, store, copy, modify, reproduce, and display your User Content solely for the purpose of providing, maintaining, and improving the Service (e.g., generating transcripts and fact-checks).
This may include creating and storing derived outputs from your User Content (for example: transcripts, extracted audio, claim annotations, and rendered videos with overlays).
You represent and warrant that:
Some features may allow you to share sessions via a link and/or make sessions accessible to others (“Shared Links”). If you choose a public sharing mode, anyone with the link may be able to access the shared content. You are responsible for choosing appropriate access settings and for what you share. We may disable Shared Links or revoke access at any time, including for security, legal, or policy reasons.
You agree not to use the Service:
The Service integrates with third-party providers (e.g., for transcription and AI analysis). Your use of the Service is also subject to the terms and policies of these third-party providers where applicable.
We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Groundery shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Groundery’s total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you paid to Groundery for the Service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) $100.
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time.
We may delete or remove access to certain User Content or derived outputs to operate the Service and manage storage and performance (for example, deleting older media files after a period of time). If you need to retain your own copies, you should download/export them promptly.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Groundery and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the Service, (b) your User Content (including any allegation that your User Content infringes intellectual property rights or violates privacy rights), or (c) your violation of these Terms or applicable law (including recording consent laws).
If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, you may send a notice to support@groundery.com with: (1) your contact information, (2) identification of the copyrighted work, (3) identification of the allegedly infringing material and where it is located, (4) a statement that you have a good faith belief the use is not authorized, and (5) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and you are the owner or authorized to act on the owner’s behalf. We may remove or disable access to the material and, in appropriate circumstances, terminate repeat infringers.
